Montezuma Elementary School parents and guardians: At this time, Montezuma is NOT seeing similar issues. As such, Montezuma WILL CONTINUE to operate with all students attending in-person. If something should change, you will be notified by the school.
Riverton Parke parents/guardians: Starting tomorrow and continuing through Wed., Nov. 11, all RPHS students will be on an e-learning schedule. Students return to in-person learning on Thurs., Nov. 12. This is due to staffing issues related to COVID positive tests & quarantines.
Rosedale Elementary School parents/guardians: All 5th & 6th grade students will be on an e-learning schedule through Mon., Nov. 9. Students will return to in-person learning on Tues., Nov. 10. This is due to staffing issues related to COVID positive tests and quarantines.
Fri., Oct. 23, 2020 COVID Update: Montezuma-0 staff/student cases, 2 staff quarantined, 5 students quarantined; Rosedale-0 staff/student cases, 1 staff quarantined, 6 students quarantined; RPHS-0 staff cases, 1 student case, 0 staff quarantined, 19 students quarantined.
All Southwest Parke schools will return to in-person learning tomorrow - Thursday, October 22, 2020. Parke County remains in "orange" status due to COVID cases, but current trends are favorable for a return to in-person learning. Mask up, maintain distance, and wash your hands!
Food distribution will be Monday, October 19th as follows: Montezuma Elementary - 11 AM to 12 PM; Mecca Old School - 11 AM to 11:30 AM; Rosedale Elementary - 11 AM to 12 PM; Lyford Firehouse - 11 AM to 11:30 AM; and, Bridgeton General Store - 11 AM to 11:30 AM.
All SWP schools will operate on e-learning Monday, Oct. 19, Tuesday, Oct. 20, and Wednesday, Oct. 21. We still have high quarantine numbers. Parke Co. is under "orange" status due to COVID case increase. Health Department has strongly recommended e-learning to slow the spread.
COVID cases are increasing in Parke County and we have moved to Orange Status on the dashboard. Keep wearing masks, practicing distancing, and practicing hand cleansing. We need you to keep up your efforts up even while on this fall break! Be safe!!

If you should receive a call from the local or state health department regarding close contacts, quarantine, or daily health, please answer the call and respond to the questions asked. This information is really useful in helping fight community spread of COVID.
Please continue to check your student for symptoms every day. If your student is symptomatic, please keep your student at home. Call the school and report the illness and absence. Call your healthcare provider and follow their directives.
