Good Afternoon. Now that the dust has settled, I simply want to share that we appreciate your student being at RP. We have an amazing group of students, teachers, and staff, and it’s been a great start to the school year! Here are a few quick reminders to wrap up the week:

WRCTE Farm Operations Vocational Program
Mrs. Humphreys is excited to launch her new Farm Operations Vocational Program this school year! Through the course, students will gain hands-on experience working with local farmers and participating in the year-round activities that take place to produce a crop.

Attention Riverton Parke students! A wonderful opportunity awaits. Next summer Riverton Parke is hosting an EF tour across Central Europe to examine events of the Holocaust. We will travel through Germany, Poland, and the Czech Republic, including Auschwitz and Warsaw. The more families that RSVP, there is more of a chance that students could receive additional money off the cost of the trip! If 30 families RSVP for this meeting, Riverton Parke will receive $2,000 that will be distributed to the registered student travelers from EF.

Here are some afternoon updates regarding Southwest Parke buses:
Route 6 - May be delayed due to power crews working on the west hill.
County Line Road will have normal drop offs.
Route 11 - Student drop off will be the same location as this mornings pick up location. Estimated time of arrival at the Bridgeton Baptist Church is 3:20-3:30.
If you need to change your student’s end of day transportation due to these restrictions, please call the school as soon as possible.

5th and 6th Grade Football practice is canceled for tonight due to rain. Have a great night.
Jr. High Cross County Practice will start tonight, afterschool until 4:15pm. Open to all 5th-8th grade students. Physicals needs to be on file with the school before participation in practices. The Coaches will communicate practice schedules and any other requirements. Please contact the school if you have any additional questions. 765-569-2045.
Great Morning RP Parents! Please double check that you have completed the Technology Policy-Parents registration form for your student. We will start passing out computers today and the form is required. Thanks!
The Southwest Parke Board of School Trustees will conduct a public hearing and public meeting on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 at 7 PM in the Corporation Office. Members of the public are invited to participate.
Riverton Parke: Please note the changes in Parent/Bus Pick Up at the end of the school day. Parents will pick up in the rear of the building, and the bus pick-up will take place in front of the building. Anticipate delays as we navigate these new changes. Thank You!
Welcome back Panthers! We are excited to see everyone. Please remind students that the High School Entrance (9-12) is in the Gym. Junior High (5-8) will use the main entrance.
Tomorrow - Wednesday, August 5, 2026 - is the first day of school! We look forward to seeing all of our students!
The Southwest Parke Community School Corporation is undergoing a change in internet service provider. On Tuesday, August 4, 2026, Rosedale Elementary School, Riverton Parke Junior/Senior High School, and the Corporation Office will be without internet and phones. The Southwest Parke Board of School Trustees will conduct a special public meeting on Thursday, July 23, 2026 at 6 PM in the Corporation Office. The Board will interview candidates for the vacant board seat, appoint a Board member, and elect a Board president. The meeting is open to the public.
