Functional Ceramics Pieces☕

Crispus Attucks – September 19, 2026 — The Riverton Parke High School volleyball team delivered an outstanding performance on Saturday, September 19th, sweeping both of their matches to earn the tournament championship title at Crispus Attucks.

Riverton Parke opened tournament play with a decisive victory over host Crispus Attucks, taking the match in straight sets with scores of 25-7 and 25-16.

Career Club Travels to Brazil CARS Art Center

The Career Club has visited the Brazil CARS Art Center twice now! They work on art projects, socialize, and help peers at the center. The Career Club is scheduled to go there about twice a month, and it is a great opportunity for our students. They also get to go out for lunch afterwards.

Junior High Interact Club Fall Snackle Boxes

During Homecoming Week, the Junior High Interact Club members created Fall snackle boxes and gifted them to the Fall Homecoming Court candidates. The boxes included a mix of candies, cookies, popcorn, and homemade brownies. Not only did they bring cheer to their high school peers but also strengthened their teamwork and delegating skills.

Sophomore Parents. Your student heard a presentation from Herff Jones about Class Rings. They also received a brochure with additional information. Class rings are completely optional and not required. Reps. will be at RP on Monday, Sept. 28th from 2:00pm-5:00pm to receive orders. The attached image is the front page of the brochure that was distributed.

Just a reminder that 'See You at the Pole' is tomorrow morning! Join Riverton Parke FCA at 7:15 AM in front of the school. Donuts and milk will be provided afterwards.

At the Varsity Football Game last Friday, Athletic Directors Charlie Martin and Martin Brown were recognized for their induction into the Indiana Sports Hall of Fame's Class of 2026! Read on for a brief history of Mr. Martin's and Mr. Brown's career highlights!

Charlie Martin
For more than 20 years, Charlie has led the Riverton Parke Athletic Department, overseeing one of the most successful periods in Panther athletics. During his tenure, Riverton Parke has celebrated its first and only IHSAA team state championship - the 2010 Class A softball state championship - along with
numerous sectional and regional championships across Panther athletics.

His tenure has included championship success in softball, baseball, football, boys and girls basketball, and volleyball, while also expanding opportunities for our students, including the addition of wrestling at Riverton Parke.

Charlie's service to high school athletics has extended beyond Riverton Parke as well, including service on the IHSAA Executive Committee.

And, of course, Charlie's impact hasn't been limited to administration. As Riverton Parke's longtime baseball coach, he is a member of the Indiana High School Baseball Coaches Association's 200-Victory Club. His teams have produced some of the most prolific offensive seasons in Indiana baseball history, including the 2003 Panthers, who recorded 399 runs and 408 hits.

Martin Brown
Marty began his career at North Vermillion in 1995, serving more than three decades to one school and one community. During his career, Marty has served as a teacher, coach, School Safety Specialist, and athletic director, but his greatest impact has always been through his work with students. As a coach, he led North Vermillion football, wrestling, and boys and girls track and field, while also coaching junior high and youth athletics. He has helped develop numerous successful athletes, including All-State football players and state-finalist wrestlers and track athletes.

Since becoming athletic director in 2011, Marty has helped build a successful small-school athletic culture, with championship success across football, basketball, softball, wrestling, and track and field, including North Vermillion's 2014 Class A football state championship.

But Marty’s legacy extends far beyond wins and championships. He made character and service a foundation of Falcon athletics, leading programs that have served the community. His leadership has also extended beyond North Vermillion through two terms on the IHSAA Board of Directors and service to numerous community organizations.
