Today, March 26th, 2025, we are sending home with 2nd and 3rd grade students reports from their IREAD-3 Assessment. Please look for those and expect a phone call this afternoon. If you have any questions about the report or letter, please contact your child's teacher or the school.
Kindergarten Round-Up is COMING!! Thursday, March 27th, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Come visit the school, meet our teachers, and take a bus ride. If you have any questions, please call the school.

Friday, March 14th, 2025, students will be celebrating Pi Day (3.14) by roller skating at the Wigwam in Terre Haute. Students may bring money for snacks. Bottled water is $1.50 and soda is $2.50 along with other snacks. We are also asking that students use the skates at the Wigwam and not to bring their own. This is so we use the proper equipment at the Wigwam. Students who bring cellphones to school will leave them at school and will not have them on the field trip. Thank you.
Round 2 for Mut Madness has been posted. Even if you class did not advance into this round, you can still bring in pet toys and give them to a participating class that advanced.
For Read Across America Week, we will have a dress up day on Friday, March 7th, 2025. Students may dress up as their favorite book character for the day. Use your imagination and come up with a character and dress like them for Friday, March 7th, 2025. There will also be activities in the classrooms throughout the week.

Mutt Madness begins Monday, March 3rd, 2025. It is just like the NCAA March Madness with winning classes moving onto the next bracket. Students were sent home a flyer today.

Just a reminder! Tomorrow, February 21st, 2025, is our Grown Ups and Grands Donut Party. Grades Preschool through 2nd grade will be from 8:30-9:00 and grades 3-6 will be from 9:10-9:40. Please enter through Door #2 by the flag pole. We will be serving in the gym/cafeteria. Grown Ups and Grands signed up for this a couple of weeks ago.

Due to the possibility of snow and wintery mix and not knowing what Friday morning may bring, the PTO Sponsored event of Donuts with Grown Ups and Grands has been cancelled for Friday, February 14th and rescheduled for Friday, February 21st. The 6th Grade Girls Basketball Game scheduled for tonight, February 12th, 2025, has been cancelled. There is no make-up date as we play South Vermillion again next week.
Just a reminder: if students bring home their school device and we DO NOT close for Synchronous eLearning the next day, students MUST bring their school device back. If you have questions concerning this, please contact our school office.
It appears that winter weather may be making another appearance in the near future. As such, students were sent home today with learning tools that would be used for synchronous elearning. Synchronous elearning is different from our other elearning days. On a synchronous elearning day, students have specific times they need to be logged onto their devices to interact with teachers and other students. Please see the attached sheets that detail the times to be logged in and the process for connecting to the Google Classroom. These attachments are also viewable in the Live Feed of our webpage at www.swparke.k12.in.us. If your student will be absent from the synchronous elearning period due to illness or appointments, please contact the school as you usually would for an absence.
The learning tools sent home today should be used if a synchronous elearning day is called. If no synchronous elearning day is called, the tools should be returned to school fully charged for use.
