On Wednesday, November 2, Riverton Parke Junior High School competed in the Junior Division Indiana Academic Spell Bowl regional contest at Woodrow Wilson Middle School. They placed 2nd in their class at the regional competition out of the four Class 3 schools and 6th in the overall regional out of 30 Class 3 schools. The contest is sponsored each year by the Indiana Association of School Principals (IASP). The Panthers were coached by English teacher Lisa Harmon.
