Saturday, September 24th, a grand opening event was held at the Wabash River B&O Railbridge between Montezuma and Hillsdale to celebrate the connection of the new walking trails between Parke and Vermillion Counties. Several Riverton Parke High School students participated in the official ribbon cutting and the inaugural Over the River and Through the Woods 5k and Family Fun Walk event jointly sponsored by the Parke Trails Alliance and Vermillion Trails Alliance groups.
