Members of the Riverton Parke FFA Livestock Skillathon Team competed in the Tri-County/Benton Central Livestock Skillathon Invitational on Saturday, September 17th held at Tri-County High School in Wolcott, Indiana. For this contest, members had to identify various livestock breeds, livestock equipment, feeds, and cuts of meat, complete quizzes over quality assurance and the animal science industry and place two classes of meat with questions. Joel Harrah, Jase Martin and Noelle Blake competed for the junior high. As a team, they placed 3rd overall. Joel Harrah was the 4th overall individual followed by Jase Martin in 5th. Noelle Blake placed 17th. For the high school, Sarah Brown, Sophie Sanders, Emily Adams and Jack Harrah placed 2nd overall in the team competition. Sarah Brown was the 2nd overall senior individual, Sophie Sanders placed 7th, Emily Adams was 11th and Jack Harrah was 19th. The Livestock Skillathon Team is coached by FFA advisor, Michaela Woods.
