On Tuesday, November 2, Riverton Parke Junior High School competed virtually in the Junior Division Indiana Academic Spell Bowl regional contest. They placed 8th among Class 3 schools. Riverton Parke Junior High traditionally competes in Class 4, but because of increased enrollment, competed in Class 3 amongst larger schools. The contest is sponsored each year by the Indiana Association of School Principals (IASP). The Panthers were coached by English teacher Lisa Harmon.
