Riverton Parke Junior High School competed virtually in the Junior Academic Super Bowl on Monday, May 3. The math team earned a “State Top 10” finish, just barely missing an invitation to the state finals, by placing fourth in the state among Class 4 schools. Members of the math team were: Charlie Belcher, Josiah Heck, Carson Sutton, and Sal Masadeh. This year’s contest theme was “The American Woman: A Generation of Progress 1920-2020.” The teams were coached by Will Patton (math), Leigh Ann Lawson (science), and Aaron Hines (social studies). Lisa Harmon is the junior high school academic coordinator.
