Third Place Finish in Area Livestock Judging Contest

Members of the Riverton Parke FFA Chapter competed in the Area V Livestock Judging Contest on Friday, April 30th held at the Sullivan County Fairgrounds.  The members competed in the questions division where they judged two classes of sheep, two classes of beef, two classes of pigs, and one class of goats.  Students then had to answer 30 questions based on three of the classes.  The team consisting of Sarah Brown, Katilynn Koch, Kara Melvin, and Collin Watson placed third overall.  Sarah Brown was the second overall individual, and Katilynn Koch was fifth.  Other members who competed included Leah Clark, Sophie Sanders, Kenzie Mundell, and Rhylie Cannon.  The livestock judging team was coached by FFA advisor, Michaela Woods.
