Riverton Parke FFA Competes in Livestock Skillathon Practice Contest

Members of the Riverton Parke FFA Chapter competed in the Area V Livestock Skillathon Practice Contest on Monday, September 21st held at the Clay County Fairgrounds.  This contest would normally be the qualifier for the state contest, but in light of current events, the state contest is open for two teams, one senior and one junior team, from each chapter to compete in.  Livestock Skillathon tests members’ knowledge on a variety of livestock related topics.  Those include breed ID, equipment ID, meat ID, feed ID, an industry quiz, and a quality assurance quiz.  Senior team members, Sarah Brown, Ray Brown, KayRae Chapman, and Wyatt Koch, and junior team members, Emily Adams, Katilynn Koch, Kenzie Mundell, and Sophie Sanders, will compete in the state contest held at the Hendricks County Fairgrounds on Saturday, October 10th. The Livestock Skillathon Teams are coached by FFA advisor, Michaela Woods.
