The Riverton Parke Music Department has been active through the summer months with their appearance at the Parke County 4-H Fair on July 17, 2025. Students who participated in the parade attended Band Camp for 2 weeks, preparing their music and marching skills. All members of the marching ensemble were beginners to the challenge and came out victorious. Under the direction of Miss Lauren Hileman, Director of Music at Riverton Parke, with the assistance of Mrs. Jill Moore, Rosedale and Montezuma Elementary Music Teacher, students exceeded expectations by memorizing their music and put on a great show for our community.
The department offers many performances in a school year, including three public concerts, varsity football and boys basketball pep band games, and ceremonies like the Veterans Day Ceremony at RP and graduation. Interested in being involved with our growth? RP Music Boosters is a great way to get involved. This group meets once a month to discuss successes and needs, planning events, and, most importantly, student support.
