RP Names Winter Homecoming Royalty

Chance Jones and Kassidy Stone were named Riverton Parke Jr./Sr. High School’s winter homecoming king and queen at festivities held Saturday night, January 18th. Chance is the son of Terese and Tom Jones. He’s played football for 4 years, serving as a captain this year, and he ran track for 4 years. His activities include lifting for 4 years, as well as being a 10 year 4-H member. Kassidy is the daughter of Cindy and Brad Stone. She has cheered at RP for 4 years. Kassidy was a class officer for 1 year, NHS for 1 year, 4-H for 10 years, and FFA for 6 years, currently serving as President. She has been on the RP Academic Excellence list, Honor Roll, as well as the FFA Hoosier Degree. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, consuming bread and laughing at her own jokes. The night ended with a double overtime varsity basketball win over Southmont. Homecoming activities were sponsored by RPHS Student Council and teacher Sara Martin.
