NHS Contributes to “Sleep on the Floor No More”

For the month of October, the Riverton Parke High School National Honor Society decided to make and collect items for the Parke-Vermillion County Humane Society. This is in connection with this group’s decision to perform “Monthly Mini” service projects for their community. In support of the “Sleep on the Floor No More” campaign, two members, B.J. Hopton and Taylor Price made dog beds as part of a class project in Fashion and Textiles II with Mrs. Leslie Gackle. The handcrafted beds along with other purchased beds and items such as animal toys, food, dishes, treats, dish soap, and hand sanitizer will be donated. The group hopes to continue having a positive impact on their community by contributing to worthy causes and performing services within their neighborhoods.
