Riverton Parke High School Senior, Josalyn Huxford, was chosen as the Rockville Elks Lodge #2471 Teen of the Month for January. The Teen of the Month program is designed to recognize outstanding young men and women for achievements in school and community life-fine arts, hobbies, athletics, church, school, club and community service, industry and farming. This award will be celebrated at the Teens/Athletes Banquet at the Elks Lodge in May 2023.
Huxford is the daughter of Jacquie and Josh Huxford of Rosedale. She participates in National Honor Society, Volleyball, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, JAG, Maryland Community Church, and is a 10 year 4-H member. She has earned High Honor Roll, Academic Excellence, Academic All-State for Volleyball, and the Mental Attitude Award. She enjoys playing pickleball, photography, and traveling. Huxford plans on attending Indiana State University and majoring in Finance.
