Riverton Parke Jr./Sr. High School had its second annual unified track & field meet yesterday. This year, North Vermillion unified athletes joined RP’s competition. Running the meet was a collaborative effort among the student athletes, track and field coaches, staff, and additional volunteers. The unified athletes competed alongside their peers on the varsity track team in the following events: discus, shot put, long jump, and the 100 meter dash. Cheers of support and encouragement could be heard from everyone in attendance! The participants received a certificate and ribbons for their accomplishments in each event. Many connections were made!
