Lady Panthers Win Tournament

The Class 1A #2 ranked Riverton Parke softball team won the Sullivan Tournament on Saturday. 

In game one the Panthers beat the host Arrows 18-6 in 5 innings. RP scored 2 runs in the 1st, 5 in the 2nd, 1 in the 3rd and 7 more in the 4th to take a 15-1 lead. 

Maddie Lumaye had a huge offensive game with 5 hits including a home run and a double, 6 RBI and 3 runs scored. 

Jayleigh Inman had 3 hits including a home run, 4 RBI and 2 runs and was the winning pitcher. Ashlyn Brenton had 3 hits , a double and 2 RBI. Lizzy Leitgabel had 2 hits and scored 4 runs. 

In the championship game the Panthers beat Linton 12-2 in 5 innings. 

Haylee Mathas had a grand slam home run. 

Riverton Parke (10-2) will host Seeger tonight for a WRC doubleheader.
