Riverton Parke Jr./Sr. High School senior, Lane Jordan, has accepted an offer of continued education and employment from Nucor of Crawfordsville, Indiana. Nucor Steel Indiana is a company that manufactures steel and steel products. The Crawfordsville plant produces flat rolled steel.
Jordan is the first Riverton Parke High School student to be awarded the Nucor-IvyTech Maintenance scholarship. This award includes all tuition, books, and supplies, as well as paid on-the-job training. As part of the program, Jordan will obtain a two-year Industrial Mechanical Technology in Applied Science Degree from Ivy Tech Community College.
