​Macy Johnson Awarded Prestigious Distinction

Riverton Parke High School senior, Macy Johnson, has been recognized for her excellence in academic achievement as a rural and small town scholar for the 2020-2021 school year by the College Board National Recognition Program. Johnson scored in the top 2.5% of PSAT/NMSQT test takers and was invited to apply for the College Board National Recognition Program. This achievement will enable Johnson to highlight her outstanding educational performance to top colleges and universities. Macy’s future plans are to attend Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology to study optical engineering. Of this recognition, Macy said, “Oftentimes academic opportunities in small communities are difficult to come by, so I owe this honor in part to my teachers and the staff at Montezuma Elementary and Riverton Parke for encouraging me and challenging me as much as possible.” Macy is the daughter of Paul and Kristi Johnson of Montezuma.
