Riverton Parke FFA Holds Food Drive

The Riverton Parke FFA Chapter held a food drive December 2nd through the 13th.  Non-perishable food items were collected as part of a competition between advisories with a donut party awarded to the advisory who collected the most.  Mrs. Claudia Overpeck’s advisory came out victorious with Mrs. Leslie Gackle’s advisory in a close second. In total, Riverton Parke collected over 1,100 non-perishable food items.  All items were donated to the new food pantry in Rosedale in anticipation of its opening on January 14th. Catelin Chapman, vice president of the FFA chapter, stated, “We were very pleased with the results of our food drive.  We are happy we will be able to help so many local families this holiday season.”
