Riverton FFA Successful in Judging Contest

The Riverton Parke FFA Livestock and Poultry teams competed in the State Livestock and State Poultry contests on the weekend of May 16-17 at Purdue University and both placed seventh in the state.

By placing that high in the state the Livestock team won a trip to Keystone, Pennsylvania in October to represent Riverton Parke and the state of Indiana in the national contest.  Judging for the team was Anna Krieger, Cory Edge, Katie Paxton, and Kalyn Rose.  Placing on the day was Kreiger (12th), Edge (21st), Rose (36th), and Paxton (65th).  Kreiger was also recognized for a top four placing in swine judging.

The Poultry team consisted of Hannah Byers, Ashton Searing, Brock McMullen, and Adam Byers.
