THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA This year's Marching Band theme show will be based on this perennial favorite. From the 1911 novel by Gaston Leroux to the 1925 Lon Chaney film through several other film incarnations, the definitive musical version premiered in 1988. After the successful release of the film version of the stage musical late in 2004, we present for your music entertainment our field version of the musical. Musical selections include: The Phantom Of The Opera Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again The Music Of The Night Masquerade We will field almost 40 musicians this year, plus our all-new Panther Guard under the able direction of Jana Guoli.  We look forward to working on this classic! Our field leaders are Casey Smith, Drum Major, with assistants Steven Hazard and Andrew Hardesty. The Percussion Section Leader is Ben Fulk; the band is directed by Mike Hardesty.
