~ Unit Choices & Rubrics ~

Here you will find short descriptions and grading rubrics for each of the options available in the three levels of layered curriculum.  These options are available for every unit, although occasionally there are exceptions because of time or availability.  Here is an outline of the progression of each unit:  We may not do all three layers in every unit.
Things that might be helpful to know...
  • Each chapter will have C-Layers assigned that focus on a particular aspect of the material you need to learn.  You will usually be allowed to choose one option from 5-6 of these choices for each C-Layer assigned.  The notes will include a list of the choices you have for each one.
  • C-Layers are always due the class period following the date they are assigned.
  • Extra C-Layers may be done for extra credit.
  • Some chapters include a B-Layer lab activity.  There are usually no options for these, they are whole class, hands-on investigations.
  • A-layers are occasionally given.  All Endeavour qualification projects are A-Layers.
