The winter storm currently moving through our area has caused hazardous road conditions. The storm is forecast to continue throughout the day as well. As such, all Southwest Parke schools will be closed tomorrow - Monday, December 16. Please be safe!
The November food service participation numbers are in: RP - B 21%, L 55%; Rosedale - B 56%, L 67%; Montezuma - B 62%, L 84%. We are currently losing money each month and need participation at Rosedale to increase if we want to continue the free program there for next year.
All Southwest Parke schools will be closed tomorrow - Tuesday, November 19 - so that teachers may participate in the Red for Ed Action Day at the Indiana Statehouse. The Indiana State Teachers Association organized this Red for Ed Action Day, and teachers from all across the state will be participating in this historic event. The action day is intended to make legislators aware of continuing concerns with the current teacher compensation model, excessive and punitive state testing, and professional growth requirements that focus on matters unrelated to classroom instruction and improvement. Thank you for accommodating tomorrow’s school closure.
The Southwest Parke Community School Corporation will be closed on Tuesday, November 19, 2019, so that educators may participate in the Red for Ed Action Day in Indianapolis. The make up day for this cancelation will be Thursday, March 19, 2020.

The Southwest Parke School Board will meet in Special Session Thursday, October 3 at 7 PM to discuss the tentative contract with the Southwest Parke Education Association. The tentative contract may be viewed in the News section of the school website.
The Southwest Parke school board will meet tonight at 7 PM at the Corporation Office. The board will conduct hearings related to the 2020 budget and will conduct its regular meeting for September.
Current Cafeteria Participation rates: Montezuma - Breakfast 63%, Lunch 78%. Good job! Rosedale - Breakfast 42%, Lunch 61%. Let’s increase these! Riverton Parke - Breakfast 18%, Lunch 55%. Let’s increase these! Thanks for supporting our school cafeterias!
Time to eat!! Every student in Montezuma Elementary and Rosedale Elementary can eat breakfast and lunch for free! We need your help to increase and maintain participation so these programs can continue. Help us increase participation at Rosedale and Riverton Parke!

This is a reminder that we are selling our old Chromebooks for $25 from the corporation office. The sale will end September 6, 2019. If you would like to purchase a chromebook, please visit the office between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. before September 6th.
