It is with heavy hearts that we share word of Jami Britton’s passing on Wednesday, January 24, 2018. Mrs. Britton dedicated her entire thirty-two year career to the students and families of Montezuma Elementary School. As a teacher, Mrs. Britton served students in 2nd grade, in the Chapter I program (later known as Title I), and in the 6th grade as a math teacher. In August of 2005, Mrs. Britton became Principal of Montezuma Elementary School, and she served in that capacity until her retirement in July of 2017.
Mrs. Britton will be forever remembered for her big smile and her even bigger heart. She loved all of her students immensely and gave selflessly to ensure their needs were met. Mrs. Britton’s legacy will continue on in the lives of all those she helped throughout her time with us. She will be greatly missed.
